Bhubaneswar: Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, who is in news after yesterday’s security breach, is back among the top 10 richest persons in the world. The industrialist had slipped to the 13th spot in January as per both Bloomberg Billionaire index and Forbes Real-time Billionaires list.
Yesterday, in a security breach outside Ambani’s Mumbai home ‘Antilia’, as many as 20 Gelatine sticks were seized by the security agencies.
According to Bloomberg Billionaire index, Mukesh with a net worth of USD 82.8 billion is at the 10th spot. He’s preceded by China’s Zhong Shanshan with a net worth of USD 83.2 billion and followed by Steeve Balmer with a net worth of USD 82.8 billion.
Ambani has added USD 8.5 billion to his total net worth since last month. His net worth slipped to USD 74.3 billion in the 2nd week of January 2021
Mukesh Ambani is also at the 10th spot in the Forbes Real-time Billionaires list and his net worth has been estimated at USD 81.5 billion.
Meanwhile, Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos is back to top slot as the world’s richest man with a net worth of USD 180 billion. He’s followed by Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk with a net worth of USD 176 billion and Microsoft founder Bill Gates with a net worth of USD 135 billion.
Among the Indian billionaires, Mukesh Ambani is followed by Gautam Adani (net worth 37.7 billion) and Shiv Nadar (net worth 23.1 billion).
