JSPL Foundation receives Odisha Excellence Award for Sustainable Social Development

Bhubaneswar : JSPL Foundation, the CSR arm of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has bagged Odisha Excellence Award 2018 for its sustainable social development initiatives in the State. His Excellency Governor of Odisha Prof. Ganeshi Lal presented this prestigious award to General Secretary of the Foundation Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota in presence of noted freedom fighter Shri Gour Hari Das and other dignitaries on October 15, 2018 at Bhubaneswar.

with an objective to improve the quality of lives of people, JSPL Foundation, under the guidance of its Co-Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal, has been undertaking various innovative social development programmes in the field of Health, education, skill building, women empowerment, art and culture, sports, infrastructure, natural resource management and others areas. The foundation has impacted more than 15 lakh lives through various interventions, mostly in project mode.

Congratulating the team, JSPL Foundation’s Co-Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal said, “Some of the programmes undertaken by JSPL Foundation like Kishori Express and Watershed Development have been made significant positive impact on the lives of people. We are thankful to people of Odisha for their active support and participation in all our initiatives”. She thanked the organisers and jury members for this award.

JSPL Foundation was the only Corporate Foundation to be honoured during the Odisha Excellence Award Ceremony organised by Odia Media, one of the leading media organization and publication house of the State. The Foundation has been steering multidimensional and multifaceted sustainable social development projects across Angul, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and other parts of Odisha, besides Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
