VISAKHAPATNAM : Steel Exchange India Limited (NSE: STEELXIND | BSE: 534748) has achieved its highest-ever monthly production of Re-Bars since inception, recording 24,823.509 Metric Tonnes (MT) during August 2026 at its Visakhapatnam Rolling Mill.
The record milestone was driven by the successful commissioning and operationalisation of the company’s new Reheating Furnace (RHF), which contributed 7,465.288 MT to the total output. The core operations from the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) accounted for the remaining 17,358.221 MT.
The addition of the RHF has expanded the company’s monthly Re-Bar production capability by approximately 27% to 43%, marking a significant step-up in manufacturing capacity and overall rolling mill utilisation. Management confirmed that the enhanced production level is expected to be sustained going forward as the facility scales up operational efficiency.
The boosted throughput comes as Steel Exchange India focuses on capturing growing market demand for its flagship SIMHADRI TMT brand. Moving forward, the company plans to progressively optimise capacity utilisation to tap the full potential of its newly expanded manufacturing platform.
“Achieving our highest-ever monthly Re-Bar production is a significant operational milestone for Steel Exchange India,” the management said in a statement. “The successful commissioning and operationalisation of the Reheating Furnace has meaningfully contributed to the record output achieved during August. We remain focused on improving capacity utilisation, operational efficiency, and production volumes.”
