Sagar Business Ventures Drives Eastern India Growth Through Thermogreen Cool–EESL Pact on Sustainable Cooling
New Delhi: In a landmark step toward a sustainable and climate-resilient future, Sagar Business Ventures Limited has played a pivotal role in facilitating a strategic partnership between Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) – a joint venture under the Ministry of Power, Government of India – and Thermogreen Cool. The collaboration is dedicated to advancing innovative passive cooling and cool-roof solutions nationwide.
As rising temperatures and urban heat stress challenge infrastructure, this partnership champions home grown Indian research to improve indoor thermal comfort, reduce heat gain and curb energy demand. Central to this initiative is Thermo green Cool’s ground breaking Thermacool coating technology, developed in collaboration with IIT Bombay.

Utilizing solar heat-reflective properties, the technology significantly reduces rooftop temperatures and minimizes reliance on energy-intensive mechanical cooling systems.
As the official Eastern India Partner of Thermo green Cool, Sagar Business Ventures Limited has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to indigenous innovation, research-led solutions, and sustainable industrial development. Through this association, Sagar Business Ventures is driving the large-scale adoption of advanced Indian cooling solutions across residential, commercial and industrial sectors throughout Eastern India.
Amplifying this momentum, Thermo green Cool Coat Pvt. Ltd. and Sagar Business Ventures Limited are actively finalizing plans to establish two major manufacturing plants—one in Odisha, India, and another in the Middle East. This visionary expansion aims to scale up local manufacturing capacity, broaden market reach and make world-class, Made-in-India green technology globally accessible.
The formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in New Delhi in the presence of Mr. Akhilesh Dixit, Chief Executive Officer, EESL. EESL was represented by Mr. Vidya Sagar Sharma and Ms. Shashindra Singh, while Thermo green Cool was represented by Ms. Mala Roy, Mr. Kishore and Ms. Shefali Roy.
Highlighting the broader mission, Mr. Anil Kumar Choudhary, Head – Sustainability & Clean Tech, EESL, noted: “Passive cooling solutions can play a vital role in addressing rising temperatures, improving thermal comfort, and supporting India’s climate adaptation efforts.”
Aligned with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), the initiative reflects India’s dedication to combating global warming through indigenous innovation and sustainable development. Guided by the philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (“One Earth, One Family, One Future”), the collaboration bridges public-sector execution capabilities with private-sector ingenuity.
By embedding advanced passive cooling across infrastructure – ranging from educational and healthcare facilities to residential complexes and industrial establishments – this partnership paves the way for a resource-efficient, comfortable and climate-resilient tomorrow.
