Biznext India : Public sector mining giant NMDC has reported 23% drop in its October Iron Ore production at 2.49 million tonnes (MT) against 3.23 million tonnes in October 2018. However, the company’s Iron Ore output during September has improved significantly as compared to the previous month (September) output of 1.64 MT. Out of the 2.49 MT Iron Ore production, Chhattisgarh has contributed 1.93 MT and Karnataka has contributed 0.56 MT.
NMDC’s October Iron Ore Sales has also dropped by 14% to 2.61 MT from 3.06 MT in October 2018.
Meanwhile, NMDC’s cumulative Iron Ore production has improved marginally to 15.96 MT in the April-October period from 15.47MT during the corresponding period of 2018-19. Cumulative sales during the 7 months have also improved to 17.14 MT from 16.54 MT during the corresponding 7 months of 2018-19.
