Biznext India : India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has sold a total of 128,338 units in December 2018, a drop of 1.3% as compared to December 2017. This includes 121,479 units in domestic market and 6,859 units of exports. The drop in overall monthly sales is due to sharp 36.4% fall in exports. The company had exported 10,780 vehicles in December 2017. The company’s domestic sales, meanwhile, has grew marginally by 1.7% against 119,286 units in December 2017.
During the April December period the total sales of the company grew by 6.5% to 1,403,970 units, against 1,317,801 units during the corresponding period last fiscal. In these 9 months also the export fo the company dropped by 13.4% to 79133 units. Domestic sales, however, grew by 8% to 1,324,837 units in the 9 months.
