Mumbai : Despite mixed global cues, the Indian indices opened higher on May 31. The Sensex was up 255.25 points or 0.35 percent at 74,140.85, and the Nifty was up 75.70 points or 0.34 percent at 22,564.40. About 1656 shares advanced, 606 shares declined, and 113 shares unchanged.
