BJP leading towards hat-trick win in Haryana, INDIA ahead in J&K

New Delhi : The ruling BJP has surpassed the halfway mark of 45 in the Haryana Assembly elections, currently leading in 48 seats, while the Congress is ahead in 33, as per the latest trends from the Election Commission website. Since the vote counting began at 8 am, the two parties have been locked in a back-and-forth contest.

Initial trends of the Counting showed the Congress leading the BJP, but the ruling party gained momentum later. As of 12:40 pm, Election Commission data indicates the BJP is leading in 49 seats, with the Congress ahead in 35. The majority mark in the 90-member assembly is 46. Additionally, the Election Commission reports that there are 14 seats where the vote margin between the Congress and the BJP is less than 1,000 votes.

Meanwhile, in Jammu & Kashmir the INDIA alliance (NC+Congress) is ahead in 51 seats, while the BJP is ahead in 28 seats.
