Odisha extends partial lockdown till 1st August
Bhubaneswar: Odisha has extended statewide partial lock-down for another couple of weeks till 1st August 2021.
However, this time the state government has granted more relaxations to protect the livelihood of small businesses.
Announcing this Odisha chief secretary Suresh Mohapatra said, all the districts of the state has been divided into two categories based on the positivity rate. While, 20 districts located in the western and southern Odisha have been kept in the category-A, the rest 10 districts located in the coastal region have been kept in Category-B.
The government has announced more relaxations for the Category A districts, which have positivity rate less than 5 per cent compared to the category-B districts which have positivity rate more than 5 per cent. For the category –A districts shops will be permitted to open daily from 6 am to 8 pm while in Category B districts; shops will remain open till 5 PM on weekdays. Weekend Shutdown in category districts to remain enforced. The government has also allowed bus transport throughout the state.
