400 new generation Vande Bharat will be developed during the next three years: FM

New Delhi : Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech has said, the Budget seeks to lay the foundation for the next 25 years, says Finance Minister as she presents the Budget 2022, adds the economy is continuing to benefit from the multiplier effect.

She said, there was a sharp increase in public investment and capital expenditure in Budget 2021-22. This Budget (2022-23) will benefit, youth, women, farmers, SC, STs; shall be guided by PM Gati Shakti master plan.

She said, moving forward on this parallel track, we lay the following four priorities – PM Gati Shakti, inclusive development, productivity enhancement and investment, sunrise opportunities, energy transition and climate action & financing of investments.

Under PM Gati Shakti 400 new generation Vande Bharat will be developed during the next three years. 100 multi-modal connectivity points between mass urban transport and rail network will be taken up on priority basis.  PM Gatishakti master plan for expressways will be formulated in the next financial year. The scope of PM Gatishakti masterplan will encompass the seven engines of economic transformation.

‘One class, one TV channel’ program of PM eVIDYA will be expanded from 12 to 200 TV channels. This will enable all states to provide supplementary education in regional languages for classes 1 to 12.
