Nothing to confirm on North Korean Leader Kim’s Health : South Korea
NewDelhi : South Korea has played down the reports that North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is in critical condition after surgery.
“We have nothing to confirm and there has been no unusual activity detected in North Korea,” Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Kang Min-seok said in a statement.
Cheong Wa Dae (the Blue House) is the official residence of South Korean president.
Its statement came in response to multiple international media reports that Kim is in critical condition after a heart surgery. CNN said that the United States is monitoring “intelligence” that he is in “gave danger.” It quoted an unnamed U.S. official.
Kim skipped the annual celebration of his grandfather’s birthday on April 15, raising speculations about his health as he never skip this annual event. Some observers said he did so due to coronavirus concerns. Kim Jong last appeared in North Korean state media on April 11.
