Bhubaneswar: Public Sector Iron Ore miner, NMDC has produced 6.87 million tonnes and sold 6.84 million tonnes of Iron ore in the first 3 months (April-June) of the current fiscal. The quarter on quarter production has almost halved, considering the Jan-March production at 11.35 million tonnes.
In June, NMDC has produced 2.34 million tonnes and sold 2.31 million tonnes of Iron Ore.
Out of the total production of 6.87 million tonnes, 4.78 million tonnes are from NMDC’s Chhattisgarh and 2.09 million tonnes are from Karnataka mines. Similalry, NMDC’s iron ore sales from Chattisgarh during the period was 5.97 million tonnes.
NMDC had reported 9% YoY growth in iron ore production at 11.35 million tonnes in the 4th Quarter of FY 18. The company’s sales of iron ore were 10.54 million tonnes which is about 8% more than that of the corresponding period last year (CPLY). Overall, during the 2017-18 financial Year, NMDC had produced 35.50 million tonnes and sold 36.07 million tonnes of Iron Ore.
