Mumbai: Indian indices open marginally lower on June 2 weak global cues. The 30 share based Sensex was down 601.24 points or 0.74 percent at 80,849.77, and the broad based Nifty was down 169.30 points or 0.68 percent at 24,581.40. About 1197 shares advanced, 1526 shares declined, while 200 shares unchanged. Apollo Hospitals, HUL, SBI Life Insurance, Tata Consumer, Cipla were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Hindalco, Tata Steel, L&T, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries.
