In the last day of 2018, Petrol prices touches the lowest at Rs.68.84
Biznext India : In the last day of 2018, Petrol prices has touched the lowest in the year dropping by 20-22 paise to Rs. 68.84. In the first day of 2018 i.e. 1st January 2018, Petrol was at Rs. 69.97 in the national capital. On the other hand, Diesel prices have dropped by 23 paise to touch an 11 month low to Rs. 62.86 per litre in Delhi. Diesel price was Rs.62.83 on January 21 and Rs. 59.70 on January 1st in the capital. Petrol prices had touched a record high of Rs. 84.00 on October 4 and Diesel prices had reached the height of Rs.75.69 on October 16.
In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices are selling at Rs 74.47 per litre and Rs 65.76 per litre, respectively. In Bhubaneswar, Petrol and Diesel prices have also dropped to Rs. 67.84 and Rs.67.36 respectively.
The dip in prices comes after the United States softened its stand on Iran’s sanctions and allowed eight countries including India to continue importing oil from Iran temporarily. The other countries are China, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and Taiwan.
