Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. While Lambodar Nial is contesting from Kalahandi lok sabha seat, Pranab Prakash Das from Sambalpur, Dilip Tirkey from Sundargarh, Sudam Marandi from Mayurbhanj, Anshuman Mohanty from Kendrapara, Pradip Majhi from Nabarangpur, Manmath Routray from Bhubaneswar, Kaushalya Hikaka from Koraput and Ranjita Sahu from Aska.
The BJP has already announced candidates for 18 Lok Sabha seats in the state. After the announcement of bjd candidates today, there is a possibility of a direct fight between BJP and BJD in most of the seats. The high-profile Bhubaneswar seat will witness a fight between BJP’s Aparajita Sarangi and BJP’s Manmath Routray. The Sambalpur seat will witness a fight between Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pranab Prakash (Bobby) Das. The whole of Odisha will keep an eye on this fight.
