Bihar Results 2025 : Counting has begun for the Bihar Assembly elections, setting the stage for a crucial showdown between the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan. According to the earlier trend, NDA is ahead of the Mahagathbandhan and has surpassed the magic number. While NDA is leading in 130 seats the Mahagathbandhan is leading in 65 seats. Inside the NDA the BJP is leading in 68 seats and JDU is leading in 65 seats.

On the other hand in Mahagathbandhan, the RJD is leading in 45 seats and the Congress is leading in 12 seats.

In the run-up to the results, political leaders exchanged sharp comments. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar remarked, “Just a few more hours of waiting, and the good-governance government will return.”

On the other side, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav urged officials to ensure a fair count. He warned, “Our party workers are alert and stationed at the counting centres. If any official attempts to repeat the mistakes of 2020, crosses limits, or acts with malicious intent at someone’s direction, the public will deliver a strong response.”

The state voted in two phases on November 6 and 11 across all 243 constituencies. As per the Election Commission, Bihar has 7.42 crore registered voters — 3.92 crore men and 3.5 crore women.
