Amit Shah demands apology from Rahul over Kashmir remark by senior Congress leaders

New Delhi:   Five days after BJP pulled out of its alliance with PDP in Jammu & Kashmir, BJP president Amit Shah today justified the decision saying that the PDP government was ignoring the Jammu and Ladakh regions. He also demanded apology from Congress President Rahul Gandhi for the remarks made by senior Congress leaders on Kashmir.

“PM Modi sent crores of rupees for the development of J&K, but the Mehbooba Mufti led  PDP government ignored the interests of Jammu and Ladakh. So we decided to quit the government. For us development of Jammu and Ladakh is the top-most priority” he said today in Jammu.

He also slammed Congress President Rahul Gandhi over the remarks of Congress leaders Gulam Navi Azad and Saiffddin Soz. He said that Rahul should apologize the nation.

Few Days back Azad had said that the Indian Army has killed more civilians in the Valley that the terrorists.  On the other hand, Sr Congress leader and former union minister Soz in his book – ‘Kashmir: Glimpses of History and the Story of Struggle’, wrote that “Musharraf (former Pakistan president) had explained that if Kashmiris were given a chance to exercise their free will, they would prefer to be independent. In fact, this assessment of Musharraf seems to be correct even today”.
