World’s crude steel production drop 1% in February

 Biznextindia : World crude steel production for the 63 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) dropped by 1% (YoY) to 142.4 million tonnes (Mt) in February 2023

 China, the world’s top steelmaker, is estimated to have produced 80.1 Mt in February 2023, up 5.6% on February 2022. India produced 10.0 Mt, down 1.0%. Japan produced 6.9 Mt, down 5.3%. The United States produced 6.0 Mt, down 5.3%. Russia is estimated to have produced 5.6 Mt, down 8.6%. South Korea produced 5.2 Mt, up 1.1%. Germany produced 3.0 Mt, down 6.9%. Brazil produced 2.5 Mt, down 6.7%. Iran is estimated to have produced 2.4 Mt, up 14.6%. Türkiye produced 2.1 Mt, down 28.9%.
