Thriveni Earthmovers commits additional Rs.4823 Crore investment in Odisha, To set up 30 MTPA beneficiation plant, expand Pelletisation capacity
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday cleared the Rs.4823 Crore investment proposal of Odisha based mining contractor Thriveni Earthmovers (Pvt) Ltd.
The company has proposed to invest Rs. 3396.51 Crore for the capacity expansion of its Paradip Iron Ore pellet plant to 24 Million Tonens per Annum (MTPA). The project will create additional job opportunities for 954 people. The company has also proposed to set up a 30 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation plant in two phases at- Deojhar, District- Kenonjar with a total investment of Rs. 1426.75crore. The project is expected to create 884 jobs.
The project was cleared at the 22nd High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
On 13th February the Odisha government had also cleared the proposal of the company for setting up 30 MTPA underground Slurry Pipe Line, with a total investment of Rs. 948.90 crores, which will create employment opportunities for 217 people.
Apart from this, the HLCA also has cleared a proposal by Orissa Metaliks Private Limited for setting up of a 1.2 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant along with 225MW CPP at- Nayagarh, District – Keonjhar with a total investment of Rs. 2100 crore. The project will create additional job opportunities for 2800 people.
