Bajaj Auto reports zero sales in April, exports drop 92%

Biznext India : After Maruti Suzuki and  TVS Motors another automobile manufacturer Bajaj Auto too has reported zero domestic sales in April 2020. The company has reported zero sales in both Two-Wheeler and Commercial Vehicle segments.

According to the monthly sales data released by the company, domestic two-wheeler sales dropped by 100% to zero, while the exports dropped by 80% to 32,009.

The company has also reported zero sales in the commercial vehicle category while exports dropped by 90% to 5869 units.

Overall Bajaj Auto has reported zero sales in the domestic market while exports dropped by 92%.

It may be noted that most of the automobile companies have witnessed zero or marginal sales in April mainly due to the nationwide lockdown. While most of the companies reported zero sales in the domestic market, exports resume after the resumption of port operations after April 20.
