Mumbai : The Indian stock market on Monday soared to new heights, with the Sensex and Nifty 50 opening at record levels, continuing the momentum from last week’s gains. The rally was driven primarily by automobile and banking stocks, which led the rally in the benchmarks.
The Sensex achieved a historic milestone of 84,843, while the Nifty 50 reached a new peak of 25,903. By 9:20 AM, the Sensex had gained 200 points, or 0.2%, standing at 84,749, while the Nifty 50 was up 90 points, or 0.4%, at 25,881.
