Tata Motors PV sales surge 59% in July, EV volumes more than double

Mumbai : Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPVL) reported a 59% year-on-year increase in total passenger vehicle sales to 63,760 units in July 2026, driven by strong domestic demand and a sharp rise in electric vehicle (EV) sales.

The company sold 63,760 units across domestic and international markets during the month, compared with 40,175 units in July 2025. Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 58% to 62,611 units from 39,521 units in the corresponding month last year. International passenger vehicle sales increased 76% to 1,149 units in July 2026, up from 654 units a year earlier. Electric vehicle sales, including domestic and international markets, more than doubled during the month, jumping 114% to 15,217 units from 7,124 units in July 2025. The strong performance reflects continued momentum in Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle portfolio, with EVs remaining a key growth driver during the month.
