Reliance and Google Partner to Accelerate India’s AI Revolution
Strategic collaboration to bring advanced AI tools to consumers, enterprises, and developers under Reliance’s ‘AI for All’ vision
Mumbai : In a landmark move set to redefine India’s digital future, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), through its subsidiary Reliance Intelligence Limited, has entered into a strategic partnership with Google to accelerate the country’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation.
The collaboration aims to empower consumers, enterprises, and developers by combining Reliance’s unmatched digital scale and ecosystem reach with Google’s world-leading AI technology. Together, the companies intend to democratize AI access and strengthen the nation’s foundation for an AI-driven future.
Google AI Pro for Jio Users
Under this partnership, Google, in association with Reliance Intelligence, will roll out the Google AI Pro plan—powered by the latest Gemini technology—to eligible Jio users free of charge for 18 months.
The package, valued at ₹35,100, includes premium access to:
- Gemini 2.5 Pro for advanced generative AI capabilities
- AI-powered image and video tools like Nano Banana and Veo 3.1
- Expanded access to Notebook LM for study and research
- 2 TB of Google Cloud storage
The offer will first be available to 18–25-year-old Jio users with unlimited 5G plans, followed by a phased rollout for all customers nationwide through the MyJio app.
Reflecting India’s cultural and linguistic richness, the companies also plan to introduce localized AI-powered experiences for Jio users.
Accelerating AI Innovation with Google’s Hardware Infrastructure
In line with Reliance’s vision to build multi-gigawatt, clean energy-powered sovereign compute capabilities, the company has also announced a collaboration with Google Cloud to expand access to Google’s Tensor Processing Units (TPUs)—its advanced AI hardware accelerators.
This will enable organizations to train and deploy large-scale AI models, execute complex computing tasks, and drive faster AI adoption across India’s digital ecosystem. The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of positioning India as a global AI powerhouse.
Gemini Enterprise for Indian Businesses
The partnership also establishes Reliance Intelligence as a strategic go-to-market partner for Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise—a next-generation, unified AI platform for enterprises.
Gemini Enterprise allows businesses to seamlessly integrate AI into their workflows, enabling employees to create, share, and operate intelligent agents securely. Reliance Intelligence will further develop pre-built enterprise AI agents, enriching the platform with both Google-built and third-party solutions.
