Mumbai, January 28, 2025: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a landmark order to build Uzbekistan’s first AI-enabled and sustainable 10-megawatt data centre in Tashkent. This state-of-the-art project will redefine data centre infrastructure in the region, integrating advanced technology with a strong focus on sustainability. L&T will oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction of the innovative facility, designed to support next-generation AI applications while prioritizing energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. The centre will also feature advanced security systems to safeguard sensitive data using cutting-edge technologies. Expressing his views, Mr. M.V. Satish, Member of the Executive Committee and Advisor to the CMD, L&T, said: “It is a moment of immense pride for the Buildings & Factories vertical of L&T to undertake the development of this AI-enabled and sustainable data centre in Tashkent. This project highlights L&T’s proven expertise in executing complex and pioneering projects globally.”
