Odisha govt Hikes Salary Of Gana Sikhyakas Who Have Not Passed OTET From Rs 7,000 To Rs 10,000
Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced a salary increase for Gana Sikhyakas who have not cleared the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET).
Under this announcement, their salary has been raised from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000. This decision will positively impact 1,121 Gana Sikhyakas across the state.
Additionally, the CM declared that Gana Sikhyakas who have successfully passed the OTET will be absorbed into service as Med Teachers (Ex-cadre), benefiting 1,472 Gana Sikhyakas.
Furthermore, Assistant Teachers (Ex-cadre) who have passed the OTET but were not receiving annual increments will now receive the increment every year. This adjustment will benefit 9,520 such teachers.
