New Delhi : India’s gross GST revenue rises by 2% to 1.47 lakh crore in September 2022 from Rs.1.44 lakh crore in August 2022. However, the September GST collection is 26% higher than the GST revenues in the same month last year.
Out of the Rs. 1,47,686 crore GST revenue collected in September , CGST is ₹ 25,271 crore, SGST is ₹ 31,813 crore, IGST is ₹ 80,464crore (including ₹ 41,215 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess is ₹ 10,137 crore (including ₹ 856 crore collected on import of goods).
The government has settled ₹ 31,880 crore to CGST and ₹ 27,403 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. The total revenue of Centre and the States after regular settlements in the month of September 2022 is ₹ 57,151 crore for CGST and ₹ 59,216 crore for the SGST.
In comparison to the same month last year, the revenue from imports of products was up 39%, while the revenue from domestic transactions, which includes imports of services, was up 22%.
The monthly GST collections have exceeded the 1.4 lakh crore mark for the eighth consecutive month and the seventh month in a row, continuing to show very strong buoyancy.
