Kirloskar electric to partially lay off Workmen from its Bangalore Facility
Biznextindia : The Kirloskar Electric Company has indicated that it would lay off some its workmen at its Govenahalli (unit-1) plant in Bangalore. For the partial lay off an application has been filed with the concerned labour department for the partial layoff, the company said in stock market filing.
However, Kirloskar has not mentioned the number of staffs it is planning to lay off from the Bangalore facility.
The company has already partially laid off some of its workmen at its Hirehalli (Tumkur) Unit-7 and Budihyal (Unit-15) plants for a period of 30 days effective from June 13.
The company, on March 25 had closed operations at its manufacturing facilities located in Karnataka and Maharashtra after the announcement of lockdown by the central and state governments. After getting necessary permissions and clearances the company had resumed its operations at its Mysore plant on 27th April, its corporate office at Bangalore and Pune facility on May 6 and other facilties on May 13th.
